RC. Who are you ?

When I was 15, Elite revealed to me an unknown world. I was shopping with my parents and my professional career began. I feel lucky, I met the right people !

My career did not rise as quickly as other models, but I’m proud of being a professional model and living decently since I was 18. It was exciting to go to school and practice an original job.

17 years later, it is always a way of life that suits me perfectly. "Because that the only one you know," you'd tell me, and you are certainly right ! Every day, I can find its peak of adrenaline and challenges. It is not only a matter of physique. When I go back home, it is only to unpack my suitcase and pack another, or 2 to anticipate a speed return journey by night. Organization and foresight are the key words of my serenity !

And imagine with a husband who's also a model and 2 daughters !

RC. What/who are your inspirations ?

If you talk about fashion ? OH YES! The style that doesn't look like me ! I am jeans/sneakers and plenty of colors, or the pajamas I wear while I'm writing to you ! I love what is classy, sober and chic ! But definitely it’s not a style that fits me every day. But I am getting better and I know how to make an effort ??? Even some people don't think the same ! Well seriously, an inspiration? In fact, I'm rather shy. Model is a staging of yourself, you look different in the real life. The more you show up, the more you protect yourself, this profession is an essential outlet for my balance. So obviously...my inspirations are personalities who fell good about themselves ! Who shake up the codes with respect and intelligence. as Waris Dirie, Somalian Top Model, and Dany Rocchi, large size model.

RC. What's your phylosophy about your job ?

Oh, I have a multitude of them and it changes every day ! I'd say you " trust your instincts" … Keep in mind what you don't want and bounce back from your mistakes. Learn how to succeed by enjoying being yourself. Cultivate your difference ! Thanks to that my job has revealed my creativity and developed my personality.

RC. Do you have a professional method ?

When a model talk about being methodical, it means punctuality, reactivity, organisation and an impeccable lifestyle (or almost...I'll never give up my white chocolate bar, my burger or my chocolate mint ice cream) ! Good sleep is necessary to be quick-witted. The most important is to understand exactly what the client want, and the best is to anticipate it. Time is money ! Model agencies still work with you only if you are efficient and nice. Beauty is not the only thing in a fashion casting. The client's objective is to sell the product or the service as much as possible !

RC. What is your worse experience ? no names of course ...

I prefer anecdotes to bad experiences. So I 'd like change a little the sens of your question, may I ? I can't tell all of them, it would be too long ! Some examples, failed planes : one because I had a drink with my friend Melie just in front the gate, another I was sleeping peacefully in my bed in Miami ; confined to Abu Dhabi in strange conditions ; or hidden in Joburg in a slum church ; or the many rolls of toilet paper slipped into our pants and bras because they were too large or not well shaped ; the liters of coca or lacquer poured under our soles to avoid slipping during a show, the scotch on our nipples when the cloth is transparent… some more ? Fashion weeks are the best times for anecdotes. I met my husband, dressed in opaque black tights up to my neck, too much lacquer glued on my face transformed into patches of semi-dandruff flaking along my nose hairs, not to mention the ferns around my hair. I looked like an Octopus !

RC. Something else ?

In my opinion, gratitude and transparency are the key words to success. After so many years, I hope that my career will continue to offer me beautiful years and encounters. Leaving home at 3 or 5 in the morning to go to work, 1 or 2 months in a row, with creators, teams and photographers who are like friends, I am ready !
