RC. How did photography become your profession or your passion?
Love for photography came to me early, at the age of 7. I 've already liked fashion and feminine subjects.
I studied photography in my home town, Montpellier. At the end of my studies, I chose to be trained on the job. I had the chance to assist renowned photographers in the fashion, sports and advertising fields. I also attended the photographer Nath Sakura for 2 years. This encounter was crucial in my career. Thanks to her photography, I could learn and improve, both technically and artistically.
Models : Noa Bolle, Dounia Coesens, Eliya Ca...
RC. What are your inspirations?
My inspirations come from different horizons. In fact, I think that any good photographer should feed on art and references. My photographic references are numerous, from Lindbergh to Natalie Shau, via Steven Klein. Music inspires me enormously too.
RC. What was your favorite project ?
My “Promesses” serie is the project that has certainly struck me most. I rarely work in series but this leaves me a particularly pleasant memory. Both in pre-production and in production. The artistic unit and the majority of the models are dear people to me and I think it feels like it on the images. A big thank you to my faithful friend and photographer "Monsieur Breton" for this adventure.
RC. What is your favorite brand or material ?
I do not attach particular importance to equipement. I changed brands three times in the last 3 years ! Canon, Fuji and Nikon. I don't have a favorite brand, I choose the material that best suits my expectations. For lighting equipment, even if a light source is still a light source, I like to work in Profoto for its shaping qualities and the reliability of the light quality.
RC. Do you have technical tips or advices to share?
We all have our tips and the list is long, I do think that a photographer, as experienced as he is, will never be able to master and know everything. At the present time, I have something to tell ... Friends working in studio: use a flash meter !!!!!!
RC. What are your next projects ?
A new serie called “La vie en rose” is being published and will be available in print / web magazine ! This year, I would also like to approach the world of music, work for musical artists, follow tours, make album covers or even insides.
